   I draw inspiration from a story of mobbing told by a young woman on a website. It is a true story told in first person by a worker who wants to publicly denounce her own drama and at the same time wants to send a desperate wake-up call to civil society.

   She tells about a job in a shop where she has always served in both qualitatively and quantitatively superior to his apprentice status, for which she was paid and where, after some time, began the "pressures". The employer required gradually a "super job", made objections without a reason, made mean remarks, performed verbal aggression and all sorts of nastiness intended to weaken the resistance of the unlucky: everything in order to get rid of the girl and make the job available for another person. The story ends with an appeal from the girl who, between crisis anxious-depressive and psychosomatic disorders of various kinds, sees now her health seriously compromised. This call is basically a cry for help given from a shipwreck at the mercy of the waves, hoping fervently to be saved. But who will take up this heartfelt S.O.S.? Who will through the unfortunate a life preserver, a rope to cling in order to be rescued?

   I do not want to go into the single story because such cases increases exponentially and the trend from the basic issues are always the same: the victim is put in a difficult position to carrying out his work, there is a permanent interference and nuisance in the job that make life difficult and the victim has to cope with continuous and spurious allegations. Then they denied him any human relationship, the contact with colleagues are prevented and those with superiors become increasingly problematic; around him there is literally "scorched ground"; and the climate becomes unbearable. Basically there is a will which forces the individual to isolation and exasperation, to the point that the only way out seems to go away. With the escape is realized the true purpose of the operation: to get rid of the physical presence of such persons.

   Let us ask what motive is behind this physical elimination, let's try to make some assumptions: the employer wants to prune staff without using the practice of dismissal? A group of power must promote their own political parties for reasons of patronage? A manager is in the condition of "having to do a favour" to someone? Or more simply wants to return the availability of some female worker with a better career and without having to pay for it?

   As you can see the objectives that lie behind the removal or replacement of the subject with another one who is more desired may be different, but the pattern is always the same: there is someone who abuses his power to exert violence in an arrogant way and bullying against a defenseless person: everything for personal interest. These behaviors are clearly illegal, yet they are implemented with the complicity of the general indifference, no one is particularly shocked and they are considered "business as usual". It seems that the power that in our environment binds us always more to politics, has gradually expanded its sphere of influence to a superlative degree, to invade as a lava flow all the space around it. The world of work is the privileged terrain on which one can exercise this capacity. To manage careers and promotions to distribute work positions or simple prestige jobs, gives power which is certainly a valuable commodity to which politics do not remain indifferent. Being part of this gear is equivalent to the individual to own a mine with an inexhaustible vein at its disposal: power buys everything, power is exchanged with any type of goods and is the only currency that is never devalued! How many times will there be a need to rescue someone that is about to die?
